Jusino Insurance Services announces a new collaboration with Austin Special Chicago, a nonprofit organization serving adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. CHICAGO, IL (PRWEB) MARCH 14, 2016
The caring team at Jusino Insurance Services announces the latest campaign in their ongoing community enrichment program, launching a charity drive for Austin Special Chicago, a nonprofit organization which serves adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. All funds raised will go towards Austin Special’s Art Program, which encourages and nurtures artistic expression as a means of personal achievement and earned income. Contributions may now be made here.
Austin Special Chicago was created in 1953 by a group of parents who chose keep their children with disabilities in the community, instead of institutionalizing them. With a mission to meet the needs of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, especially those with severe and profound mental retardation, Austin Special provides training and education to help those they serve to lead more fulfilled lives. Their Art Program nurtures the talent of those who show an inclination to express themselves through the visual arts, and helps them to develop their skills. The artists’ work is ultimately exhibited and sold, providing them with earned income, a great sense of achievement, and integration into the community at large.
“You know, neighbors helping neighbors is what we’re about here, and we all owe Austin Special a great debt,” said Lisa Jusino, owner of Jusino Insurance Services. “The work they do with the intellectually challenged of our community is truly commendable, and their Art Program gives participants a creative voice and the ability to share their talent. We’re very pleased to help raise awareness and funds for this amazing program.”
Serving families from two Chicago locations, the caring team at Jusino Insurance is busy promoting the initiative through social media and an email awareness campaign, and has also featured Austin Special Chicago in their monthly magazine. Our Hometown magazine, which is delivered to thousands of households in the Chicago metro area, dedicates a full page to this worthy cause. The agency has made it simple for everyone to pitch in and help, as it has pledged to donate $10 to the campaign for every person recommended to them for an insurance quotation, with no purchase necessary.
